Langley Hospital Auxiliary Pledges Record $550,000 to Support Community Care at Langley Memorial Hospital in BC – December 1, 2025

The Langley Memorial Hospital Auxiliary announced a major $550,000 pledge from proceeds over the past six months, fueled by sales at the Penny Pincher Thrift Store and the hospital gift shop. This donation, one of the largest in recent years, surpasses the auxiliary’s June pledge of $369,000 and underscores its vital role in enhancing local healthcare.
Auxiliary volunteers expressed heartfelt gratitude. It really makes our feet and backs hurt less when we realize what we can do for our community hospital. Highlighting how these funds equip medical teams with essential tools and programs.
The contributions support patient care, and equipment upgrades at Langley Memorial Hospital, directly benefiting Fraser Health services.
None of this success would be possible without the unwavering dedication and hard work of our volunteers, generous donors, and loyal customers who frequent Penny Pincher’s thrift finds and the gift shop’s offerings.
These community pillars drive revenue through everyday shopping, turning affordable treasures into life-changing hospital support.
The auxiliary, a longstanding nonprofit, operates Penny Pincher at 20550 & 20560 Fraser Hwy, inviting shoppers to contribute while discovering deals. Recent promotions, like 50% off wreaths and luggage, exemplify how customer visits amplify impact. As holidays approach, the group urges continued patronage to sustain momentum.
This pledge reflects broader auxiliary achievements, with past efforts funding critical needs amid rising healthcare demands.
