CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON                      The Christmas luncheon was held on Dec 9th at the Sandpiper rec room from 11:30 to 2 pm. A variety of Chinese food was delivered at noon from a local restaurant. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. “Jingle” juice proved popular and tea and coffee were available. Cake, squares and assorted baking were served. Christmas carols were sung and door prizes were won by the members.  Warm and woolly items were brought by the members and were distributed to the Upper room mission for the homeless—many thanks to Gail Muylle for convening this event.

The VJH Aux held the Christmas Bazaar which included a silent auction, bake sale, knitted items and Christmas crafts. It was held in the hospital education room on Nov 28th and Nov 29th from 9:30 until 3 pm. The set up for the bazaar was on Nov 27th. Members and volunteers made the room look very festive. The Bazaar was a great success as we raised $ 11,200. Best in many years.
