Mission Healthcare Auxiliary
President/ Wendy Mack
We are 136 members strong; we operate a successful Thrift Store called The Cottage, a Hospital Giftshop, Emergency Medical Equipment Loans. These venues generate income that we use to provide ongoing support for our hospital in the way of upgrading or buying much needed equipment that may not be in their budget. Our current fundraiser is to replace all the Equipment in the Lab, cost about $500,000.00, because of the commitment the lab, it has been re-named “The Mission Health Care Auxiliary Lab. It was a project approved as a major event to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Auxiliary in 2020, at this point we are halfway towards completing our goal. The pandemic put a stop to all our celebrations for now, we had a Big bash scheduled for our actual Anniversary April, 2020 and it had to be cancelled. We are hopeful that we will still get to celebrate even if it is a little late. In addition to the venues that produce income we are also active in the hospital providing Information for all entering the Hospital and need assistance and directions, Ambulatory Day Care, aiding those who need the services of day procedures, and stock a clothes cupboard for those in emergency in need.
