About us

The BC Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries was established in 1945 to promote education, leadership, effective communication, and high standards of performance as key factors in member Auxiliaries’ success.

Currently, BCAHA’s member auxiliaries in BC represent more than 5,092 adult volunteers and 101 youth volunteers. In 2022, member Auxiliaries devoted more than 890,163.25 volunteer hours and donated more than $4,612,590.78 to purchase much-needed healthcare equipment at the local level, and to enhance the care and comfort of patients and their families.

We keep our members knowledgeable with timely information and resource material through our website, a regular newsletter and face-to-face interaction at the local and provincial levels, including annual provincial and regional annual general meetings and conferences.
